Itβs not weak to speak
Tire Mountain Team is a fundraising collective of 3 friends Karina Christiansen, Oscar Blue and Graham Swanston. This trio annually embarks on a four-day expedition pushing both physical and mental limits while flipping a 400 lb tractor tire to the summit of a glacier.
Mission
With the tractor tire as our tool, Tire Mountain Team raises funds to De-stigmatize P.T.S.D. These funds provide better access to education, awareness and support to First-Responders, their families and at-risk youth.
All proceeds go to Camp My Way. Founders Terrance Kosikar and Jillian Brown live and breathe the message that connection, nature, and daily self-care can mitigate P.T.S.D. and suicide. Tire Mountain Team strives to amplify the CMW message:
"It's not weak to speak."
Why the tire?
The ties to the tire go beyond simply flipping a giant donut up a mountain. Whether it be literal or figurative, this tractor tire represents hardship, desolation, and despair. These are the internal battles our local heroes and unsuspecting individuals combat every day; not all wounds are visible.
By flipping this tire across long, unpredictable, mountain ranges, we create a statement-piece that proves that you can overcome adversity. Despite the weight of trauma, we can become stronger through an unwavering force of determination and resilience from within.
